A popular tradition in Mexico and Spain, this beverage often features rice, milk and cinnamon. Learn how to make a quick, delicious version with Starbucks VIA® Instant Coffee.
Soak rice in the water overnight, or for at least 1 hour.
Add the rice and its soaking water to a blender, along with the vanilla, cinnamon, sugar and Starbucks VIA® Instant Coffee. Blend for 2 minutes.
Strain the blended mixture into a storage container and stir in the milk.
Cover the container and chill the mixture completely (overnight is optimal).
When you’re ready to serve the horchata, pour it into a serving pitcher, leaving any sediment behind.
